Laser Robot
|
Product Name: Laser Robot
Product Description

Olympus can supply robots and complete solutions for laser
welding and cutting. Reis laser robots can be programmed to trace complex three
dimensional paths with extreme precision and repeatability at high but
controlled speed.
Robots are available with laser powers up to 8kW with the latest fibre lasers or
2kW with CO2 lasers.
Reis\' patented CO2 laser robot design uses mirrors to transmit the laser beam
through the centre of the robot arm to integrated optics at the centre of the
robot head. This optimises flexibility and accessiblity to the workpiece, and
offers good protection of the laser components.
Following a similar principle to the CO2 laser robot, the fibre laser robot uses
fibre optic cable routed through centre of the robot arm and then uses mirrors
at the wrist axis and compact optics on the centreline of the robot head.
A range of optics are available for cutting, welding and cladding, including
optics with dynamically controlled focal length and optics with built in powder
feed for welding and cladding. Laser wire feed equipment for laser welding and
cladding is also available.
Software features are built into the robot control to allow for very speed
processing. The MinMove function for example, automatically optimises the
programmed robot positions to minimise unnecessary axis movements where only the
position of the laser spot and not the exact angle is important.
