Here is an interesting design concept from designer Arnaud Deloustal, the Oboe Humanoid Robot.The Oboe Humanoid Robot is designed to hang out with the elderly so that it can absorb, experiences, nowledge etc.



“Japan wants to make robots to cover every segment of the market. Oboe is one designed for the elderly – sorta. In a creepy cybernetic way, Oboe contains all the knowledge, or will contain, everything your loved ones know before they pass. This way, they’re immortal since all of their experiences can be passed onto future generations.”



Whilst the concept certainly is a little bit creepy, and I am sure the technology is a long way off, the robot certainly looks pretty cool.
