P3 and ASIMO – The Honda Humanoid Robots

Robots are sent to the restaurant

robot1The Japanese company Eager Co decided to check how well you can use the “communication” robots for promotional purposes. Within three days, January 9-11, 2010 in 18 restaurants in Osaka (Japan) robot ENON, specially developed by Fujitsu, will communicate with visitors. Among other things, researchers want to find out how important marketing robots use gestures to communicate with people – in order to attract attention.

Robots ENON can talk and show a “breast” touch screen different advertising images. Moreover, software, serving the video camera is configured so that the robot can identify people by sex and age (about 20 years, 20-30 years, 40-50 years and 60 years). From this perspective, appear on the screen advertising and informational messages to the appropriate group of people.

About Office robot from Fujitsu we have already written. A company Eager Co has recently attracted the attention of that presented at the exhibition IREX 2009 the world’s first advertising cleaner robots.
