P3 and ASIMO – The Honda Humanoid Robots

robotJapanese firm Hitachi introduced a humanoid robot named Emiew, who claimed the company is the most bystroperemeschayuschimsya a robot created to date. Thus the company wants to challenge the robot Asimo (Honda) and Qrio (Sony).

Height robot 1.3m. To move use 2 wheels instead of legs. The company decided to “withdraw” from the legs, because trying to create just a useful robot that can coexist with the man, not a robot that moves slower than the man himself. The speed of the robot reaches 3.7km/chas. Sensors are installed on the head, torso and near the wheels. Vocabulary robot is 100 words, which they may speak through a speech synthesizer.
